Pleased to meet you, we're doebem!

We are a research organization that prioritizes causes, evaluates effective organizations and multiplies impact. This means that our role is to map and report data on causes, the effectiveness of third sector organizations and to invite you to donate with t h e aim of having the greatest possible impact.

In other words, we are a 'meta-organization': we don't implement projects or programs directly, but we support the best and most effective organizations that do, by raising and directing funds.

Founded in 2017, we will be 100% volunteer-run until 2022. During this period, 20 organizations have been evaluated, 6 recommended, more than R$300,000 directed to effective organizations and an impact multiplier of 5-20x*.

These results, the fruit of our work philosophy based on data and evidence, represent the validation of our model and the importance of doebem for the entire impact ecosystem, from donors to organizations!

In our first evaluation in 2016/2017, we selected 3 Brazilian organizations

• Dara Institute: an integrated approach to fighting poverty;

• Renovatio: low-cost production and distribution of prescription glasses; and

• Caviver: clinical care for the diagnosis and treatment of childhood blindness And

also 3 international organizations:

• Give Directly: cash transfers for the socio-economic improvement of families; 

• Against Malaria Foundation: distribution of malaria nets; and

• Schistosomiasis Control Initiative: distribution of drugs to combat parasites

All the organizations we recommend are benchmarks in their respective fields and have been rigorously evaluated on the criteria of management, transparency and impact. All of this is to ensure that you simply can't go wrong: just choose the destination of your donation and run for impact.

Recently, the Brazil 2022 Donation Survey was launched by IDIS (Institute for Social Development), which identified that factors related to trust in the work of organizations are among the most relevant for encouraging donation.

What would make a non-donor start donating

This data confirms what we already knew: there is a clear need in Brazil to map and identify the most urgent causes and to identify the best organizations, making it possible to target resources effectively.

After 6 years of volunteer work mobilizing resources for the best organizations in Brazil and the world, it was time to go professional.

We hired a Research Director and a Researcher focused on redesigning our research and evaluation methodologies, and an Institutional Manager to improve our fundraising and communication with donors.

Today, we are redesigning our website and carrying out an unprecedented study to prioritize causes in Brazil. Soon, we will publish our report sharing our findings and insights into our country's most pressing causes.
